Joseph Quinn plays Eddie Munson, the leader of the Hellfire Club, in "Stranger Things."
Eddie is introduced in season 4 as a charismatic Hawkins High senior and repeat student who runs the school’s Dungeons & Dragons club. Quinn’s performance gives Eddie a distinctive mix of theatrical confidence, rebellious humor, and vulnerability, helping turn a character initially blamed for murder into one of the season’s most sympathetic figures.
After Chrissy Cunningham dies in Eddie’s trailer, the town’s panic and a satanic-panic-inspired rumor campaign make him the chief suspect. Eddie joins Dustin, Steve, Nancy, Robin, and the others as they investigate the supernatural cause of the killings. His club’s name and love of heavy metal make him especially easy for frightened residents to demonize.
Eddie’s most memorable sequence comes when he plays Metallica’s "Master of Puppets" on guitar in the Upside Down to draw away the demobats. He then stays behind to protect the others and dies from his injuries. Joseph Quinn’s portrayal made Eddie one of the breakout characters of the season.
