Which actor played the child Florya in the 1985 war film Come and See?

The story behind the answer

Aleksei Kravchenko played the child Florya in the 1985 war film Come and See.

The Soviet film follows Florya, a Belarusian boy who joins partisan fighters during the German occupation of Belarus in World War II. As violence destroys his home and community, the story presents war through the increasingly traumatized perspective of a child rather than through conventional battlefield heroics.

Kravchenko was about 13 when he made the film, his feature-film debut. The production used intense sound design, unsettling close-ups, and stark imagery to convey psychological terror. Although Come and See is often described as an anti-war film, its historical setting is specific: the Nazi occupation and mass atrocities committed in Belarus. The title comes from the Book of Revelation, chapter 6, and refers to the Four Horsemen.
