Which actor played Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series?

Ralph Fiennes played Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series.

Fiennes first appeared as Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, released in 2005. He continued in the role through the remaining films, portraying the dark wizard’s return to physical form, pursuit of Harry, and final defeat.

Voldemort is the primary antagonist of Rowling’s seven-novel story. Before becoming known as Lord Voldemort, he was Tom Marvolo Riddle, a former Hogwarts student from Slytherin. His attempt to achieve immortality involves splitting his soul through Horcruxes.

Several other actors portray different stages or versions of the character. Christian Coulson played the teenage Riddle in Chamber of Secrets, while Hero Fiennes Tiffin played the eleven-year-old Tom Riddle in Half-Blood Prince. These casting differences can make the answer seem less direct, but Fiennes is the principal adult Voldemort in the film series.
