Which 2026–27 Premier League opening-weekend match was scheduled for Saturday’s 12:30 UK kickoff?
Answer
Hull City vs Manchester United
Hull City versus Manchester United was scheduled for the 12:30 UK kickoff on Saturday 22 August 2026.
The match was the first Saturday fixture of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend. It followed Arsenal’s Friday-night meeting with Coventry City and began the main Saturday schedule.
Hull hosted Manchester United at the MKM Stadium. The fixture carried extra interest because Hull were returning to the Premier League, while Manchester United were one of the division’s most prominent visiting clubs.
Hull won 2–0. The other Saturday fixtures included Everton versus Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town versus Sunderland, Nottingham Forest versus Leeds United, and Brentford versus Tottenham Hotspur, but none occupied the 12:30 slot.
