Three 15:00 UK kickoffs were scheduled for the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.
They were Nottingham Forest versus Leeds United, Everton versus Crystal Palace, and Ipswich Town versus Sunderland. All three were listed for Saturday 22 August 2026, forming the central afternoon group of fixtures after the earlier Hull City–Manchester United match.
The Premier League normally lists weekend matches at 15:00 UK time unless a fixture has been selected for broadcast or moved for another scheduling reason. In this opening round, the other matches were distributed across Friday night, Saturday lunchtime, Saturday evening, Sunday afternoon and Monday night.
The number three refers to fixtures, not clubs or matchdays. Six different clubs appeared in these three matches. Ipswich’s fixture was particularly notable because it marked the club’s first Premier League game after returning to the top flight, while Leeds and Sunderland were also part of the season’s reshaped division.
