Schmigadoon! was the 2026 Tony-winning musical adapted from a television series of the same name.
The stage musical expanded the concept of the Apple TV+ series Schmigadoon!, created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Both versions draw on the conventions and visual language of classic American musical theatre.
At the 2026 Tony Awards, the stage production won Best Musical. It also received awards for Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Orchestrations, giving it four victories.
The other Best Musical nominees were The Lost Boys, Titaníque, and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York). Cats: The Jellicle Ball and Ragtime were revivals, not new musicals.
