The Lost Boys was the 2026 Tony-winning musical recognized for Dane Laffrey’s Best Scenic Design.
Laffrey won the musical scenic-design award for The Lost Boys at the 79th Tony Awards. Scenic design establishes the physical setting of a stage production, helping audiences understand its locations, mood and theatrical scale.
The nominees included Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), Cats: The Jellicle Ball and Schmigadoon!. The award therefore distinguished The Lost Boys’ visual environment from the other nominated musical productions.
The Lost Boys was also among the ceremony’s two most nominated productions, with 12 nominations. It won four awards overall, while Schmigadoon! won Best Musical and three additional Tonys.
