Which 2026 Tony Honors recipient was Loren Plotkin?

Loren Plotkin was a 2026 recipient of the Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre.

Plotkin shared the honor with the 1/52 Project, Jake Bell, and Kenn Lubin. Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre recognize individuals and organizations whose work contributes to the theatre community but may not fit a regular competitive award category.

The 2026 Tony Awards presented several different kinds of special recognition. The ceremony gave the Isabelle Stevenson Award to Mary-Mitchell Campbell, the Special Tony Award to League of Resident Theatres, and the Regional Theatre Tony Award to American Players Theatre.

Loren Plotkin’s honor should not be confused with the Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre awards. Those went to André Bishop, Jules Fisher, and James Lapine, whose careers represented long-term contributions across Broadway and the wider theatre field.
