Which 2017 Assassin's Creed game follows Bayek of Siwa in Ptolemaic Egypt?
Answer
Assassin's Creed Origins
Answer
Assassin's Creed Origins
Assassin's Creed Origins follows Bayek of Siwa in Ptolemaic Egypt.
Released in 2017, Assassin's Creed Origins is set mainly in Egypt during the first century BCE, when the Ptolemaic Kingdom was ruled by Cleopatra and contested by Julius Caesar. Bayek is a Medjay, a protector and lawkeeper from Siwa. Alongside his wife, Aya, he becomes involved in the events that lead to the formation of the Hidden Ones, the organization that later develops into the Assassin Brotherhood.
Origins marked a major gameplay shift for the series. It introduced stronger role-playing systems, including experience levels, equipment rarity, and a more flexible combat model. The game also offered a large reconstruction of ancient Egypt, from desert regions to the Nile Delta and major cities. Despite its title, Origins does not show the later, fully organized Assassin Brotherhood in the form seen in earlier games; it depicts the beginning of that tradition.
