Which 2010 Assassin's Creed game is set largely in Rome and continues Ezio Auditore's story?
Answer
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Answer
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the 2010 game set largely in Rome and continuing Ezio Auditore's story.
Brotherhood follows Ezio after Assassin's Creed II and sends him to Rome, where the Borgia family controls much of the city. Ezio works to weaken Borgia power, rebuild the local Assassin Brotherhood, and recover a Piece of Eden. The game's historical events occur in the early sixteenth century, during the Italian Renaissance.
Unlike Assassin's Creed II, which moves through several Italian cities, Brotherhood concentrates its open world on Rome. Players can liberate districts, recruit and train new Assassins, and assign them to missions across Europe. The game also introduced a competitive multiplayer mode in which players hunted one another as members of secret factions.
Brotherhood is the second main game centered on Ezio, followed by Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Its title refers to the expanded Assassin network Ezio builds, not to a separate historical order unrelated to the wider series.
