Which 1983 David Bowie album contains the hit title track 'Let's Dance'?

The story behind the answer

The 1983 David Bowie album containing the hit title track “Let's Dance” is Let's Dance.

Released on 14 April 1983, Let's Dance was Bowie's fifteenth studio album and marked a major change in his commercial direction. Bowie worked with producer Nile Rodgers, best known for Chic, and recruited the then little-known Texas guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan for the recording. The result combined dance-pop, funk, rock, and blues influences.

The title song became one of Bowie's biggest international hits, reaching number one in several countries. The album also produced successful singles including “China Girl” and “Modern Love,” helping Bowie reach a much wider mainstream audience.

The title can be confusing because Serious Moonlight was the name of the world tour supporting the album, not a studio album. Tonight followed in 1984, while Never Let Me Down was released in 1987. “Let's Dance” is therefore both the album title and its best-known title track.
