Where does Ditto first awaken in Pokémon Pokopia?

Ditto first awakens in the Withered Wasteland in Pokémon Pokopia.

The Withered Wasteland is the opening area and presents the game’s central mystery: the land has decayed, humans are gone, and almost all Pokémon have vanished. Ditto discovers the lonely Tangrowth living there and begins the work of restoring the environment.

The area is more than a starting map. It establishes the game’s contrast between a barren past and the welcoming habitats Ditto can create. As new Pokémon arrive, the player gathers materials, builds structures, grows plants, and gradually transforms the wasteland.

Withered Wasteland should not be confused with the later regions Bleak Beach or Rocky Ridges. Those areas become accessible after Ditto’s progress, including the events involving Slowpoke, rain, Kyogre, and a trapped Onix.
