Where did the gang from "Saved By The Bell" hang out?

The gang from “Saved by the Bell” hung out at The Max, stored here as “The Maxx.” The fictional diner was the regular meeting place for Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski, A.C. Slater, Jessie Spano, Lisa Turtle, and Screech Powers.

The Max functioned as more than a restaurant. It was where the Bayside High students ate fries and milkshakes, discussed romances and schemes, held celebrations, and performed in special events. Its colorful design, jukebox, booths, and frequent musical or magic performances made it an instantly recognizable part of the show’s world.

The establishment was owned by Max, a magician played by Ed Alonzo. That character helped distinguish the diner from an ordinary school cafeteria, and his occasional tricks became part of the location’s identity. The Max also hosted major storylines, including dance contests and the “Save the Max” fundraising plot.

The diner continued into “Saved by the Bell: The New Class,” where it was eventually burned down and later rebuilt. Real-world pop-up restaurants called Saved by the Max later recreated its 1990s atmosphere for fans.
