Where did Luke Skywalker make his new lightsaber after his Cloud City battle with Vader?

Luke Skywalker made his new lightsaber at Ben Kenobi’s house on Tatooine. After losing Anakin Skywalker’s blue lightsaber and his right hand during the duel with Darth Vader in Cloud City, Luke needed to construct a replacement before confronting Vader again.

The construction scene was filmed for Return of the Jedi but removed from the theatrical release. In the deleted sequence, Luke works in Obi-Wan Kenobi’s former hut, using a small furnace and tools to assemble the weapon. The finished lightsaber has a green blade and a distinctive black-and-silver hilt that Luke designed himself.

The location is sometimes confused with Luke’s home on Tatooine or with a generic workshop because the completed weapon is first prominently shown later, when Luke presents it to Jabba the Hutt’s court. The film’s famous line, “I see you have constructed a new lightsaber,” confirms that Luke built it himself.
