Jurassic World was the 2015 film that revived the dinosaur-park series after Jurassic Park III.
Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World is set on Isla Nublar decades after the original park’s collapse. It presents a functioning dinosaur resort that has become so familiar to visitors that its operators create a genetically modified hybrid, Indominus rex, to attract more attention. The experiment escapes and throws the park into crisis.
The film stars Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing. It also features the return of the original park’s Tyrannosaurus rex. Jurassic World became the first film in the franchise to pass $1 billion worldwide and launched a new trilogy.
