What was the name of the pirate sloop commanded by Charles Vane in 1718?

The story behind the answer

Charles Vane commanded the pirate sloop Ranger in 1718.

Vane was an English pirate active in the Caribbean and the Bahamas during the transition from wartime privateering to peacetime piracy. After the War of the Spanish Succession ended, many privateers lost their legal commissions and some continued attacking ships as pirates. Vane became one of the most prominent opponents of the royal pardons offered to pirates.

Ranger was associated with Vane during his operations from the pirate community at Nassau. In 1718, Woodes Rogers arrived in the Bahamas as governor and offered pardons to pirates who surrendered. Vane refused the offer and escaped Nassau after setting fire to a captured vessel.

Vane later lost command after his crew replaced him with Calico Jack Rackham. He was eventually captured, taken to Jamaica, and executed in 1721.
