What was the name of the Oxford college where C.S. Lewis taught for most of his career?

C.S. Lewis taught at Magdalen College, Oxford, for most of his academic career.

Lewis became a Fellow and tutor in English at Magdalen in 1925 and remained there until 1954. His work at the college included teaching medieval and Renaissance literature, subjects that strongly influenced his literary criticism and imaginative writing. He was known as a demanding but effective tutor who emphasized clear thinking and careful reading.

In 1954, Lewis left Oxford for Cambridge University, where he became the first holder of the newly established chair of Medieval and Renaissance English at Magdalene College, Cambridge. The two colleges have similar names but belong to different universities.
