What was the name of the German university where Einstein was a professor before leaving for the US?

Before leaving Germany for the United States, Albert Einstein was a professor at the University of Berlin.

Einstein moved to Berlin in 1914 after Max Planck and Walther Nernst recruited him to join the Prussian Academy of Sciences. His Berlin appointment was unusually attractive: he received a professorship at the University of Berlin with no regular teaching duties, allowing him to devote most of his time to research.

Berlin became one of the most productive settings of Einstein’s career. He completed and published his general theory of relativity there in 1916, and his international fame grew rapidly after observations of a 1919 solar eclipse appeared to support the theory. He also directed the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physics from 1917.
