Nike’s 2017 collaboration with Virgil Abloh’s Off-White was called The Ten.
The project reworked ten Nike and Converse silhouettes using Abloh’s deconstructed design language. Details such as exposed foam, visible stitching, quotation marks, zip ties, and translucent panels made the shoes look intentionally unfinished. The collection was divided into themes commonly described as “REVEALING” and “GHOSTING.”
The Ten is often confused with later Off-White and Nike releases, but its name refers specifically to the original 2017 group of ten models. It was not a single shoe or a general name for every Nike collaboration with Abloh.
The collection had major influence on sneaker culture because it combined limited availability, recognizable classic models, and a highly visible designer signature. Several shoes became especially sought-after on the resale market.
