What was the name of Lamborghini's limited-production hybrid hypercar introduced in 2019?

The story behind the answer

The name of Lamborghini’s limited-production hybrid hypercar introduced in 2019 was the Lamborghini Sián, officially called the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37. “Lamborghini Sian” is the same model with the accent omitted.

Lamborghini unveiled the Sián online on 3 September 2019. It was the company’s first production hybrid vehicle, combining a 6.5-liter V12 engine with a 48-volt electric motor and a supercapacitor-based hybrid system. Unlike a plug-in hybrid, its electrical assistance was designed to be compact and lightweight.

The Sián was based on the Aventador platform but used distinctive styling and advanced hybrid hardware. The name comes from a Bolognese dialect word meaning “flash” or “lightning,” reflecting the car’s role as a technological preview. Production was limited to 63 coupés and 19 roadsters, making it far rarer than the regular Aventador.
