Answer
Little Lea
Answer
Little Lea
C.S. Lewis’s childhood home in Belfast was called Little Lea.
Lewis was born Clive Staples Lewis in Belfast in 1898. His family moved into Little Lea, a large house in the Strandtown area, during his childhood. The house had a substantial library, and Lewis later described his early reading as a major influence on his imagination and intellectual development.
Lewis’s brother Warren, usually known as Warnie, was an important companion throughout his life. The brothers shared an interest in mythology, literature, and invented worlds from an early age. Little Lea is sometimes confused with The Kilns, the Oxford house where Lewis lived during his later years. The two homes belong to very different stages of his life: Little Lea to his Belfast childhood and The Kilns to his mature career.
