Bubbly Basin was the first expansion released for Pokémon Pokopia’s paid three-part expansion pass.
The expansion pass was announced as a three-part package. Bubbly Basin launched in August 2026, while the second and third parts were scheduled for late 2026 and 2027 respectively.
The update expanded Pokopia with an aquatic-themed area. Later content allows players to dive underwater and reach regions of the map that cannot be explored through the original land-based routes. It also adds aquatic Pokémon and furniture connected to the new setting.
Bubbly Basin is therefore more than a cosmetic add-on. It extends the game’s central idea of discovering and cultivating environments, while introducing a new way to explore the world. Its name should not be confused with the original game’s biomes or habitats.
