Dion recorded the end-credits version of the new song written for the live-action adaptation. Alan Menken composed the music, and Tim Rice wrote the lyrics. The song also appears within the film in versions performed by Belle and Maurice.

Dion had already recorded the pop version of “Beauty and the Beast” for the 1991 animated film as a duet with Peabo Bryson. Her return for the 2017 production therefore connected the remake with the earlier Disney soundtrack.
