What was the first Assassin's Creed game released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360?
Answer
Assassin's Creed
Answer
Assassin's Creed
Assassin's Creed was the first game in the series released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The original game launched in November 2007 for those seventh-generation consoles, with a Windows version following in 2008. It introduced the series' central conflict, the Animus framing device, and the historical Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.
The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. Its open-world design emphasized climbing, rooftop movement, stealth assassinations, investigations, and traversal across several cities in the Holy Land during the Third Crusade.
Assassin's Creed II was the next major numbered entry and moved the historical focus to Renaissance Italy with Ezio Auditore. Because later games expanded the series quickly, players sometimes remember II as the first console title; however, the self-titled 2007 game established the franchise on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
