What was the ancient Egyptian precursor to the Assassins called in Assassin's Creed Origins?

The Hidden Ones are the ancient Egyptian precursor to the Assassins in Assassin's Creed Origins.

The organization is founded by Bayek and Aya after events in Ptolemaic Egypt expose the danger posed by powerful conspirators. Its members work secretly against oppressive rulers and seek to protect ordinary people from abuses of power.

Origins presents the Hidden Ones as an early form of the later Assassin Brotherhood. Their principles and methods develop over time, including the use of hidden identities, secrecy, and a commitment to defending freedom.

The Hidden Ones are distinct from the Order of Ancients, the rival organization operating in Origins. The Order is the faction that later develops into the Templar Order. The modern term “Assassins” therefore does not describe the organization at every point in the franchise's chronology.
