What was Pokémon Pokopia’s worldwide first-four-day sales figure?

Pokémon Pokopia sold 2.2 million units worldwide during its first four days. The figure covers the game’s opening period after its March 5, 2026 launch on Nintendo Switch 2.

The result included 1 million units sold in Japan alone, meaning Japan accounted for nearly half of the reported first-four-day total. Nintendo announced the milestone as an early measure of the game’s commercial performance.

This figure is easy to confuse with later sales milestones. Pokémon Pokopia reached 4 million units worldwide by March 2026 and surpassed 5 million units worldwide in just over four months. The 2.2 million figure applies specifically to the first four days, not to the game’s full sales history.

The strong opening was notable because Pokopia is a spin-off rather than a numbered mainline Pokémon role-playing game. Its social-simulation and sandbox design, combined with its Nintendo Switch 2 exclusivity, gave it a distinct position in the franchise and on the new console.
