What was "Inspector Gadget's" evil counterpart's name?

Inspector Gadget’s evil counterpart and principal enemy is Dr. Claw.

Dr. Claw is the leader of M.A.D., the criminal organization responsible for many of the plots in the original Inspector Gadget animated series. He typically directs operations from a hidden base while sitting at a computer console with his pet cat, M.A.D. Cat. His signature threat—“I’ll get you next time, Gadget!”—became one of the franchise’s recurring jokes.

In the original 1983 television series, viewers see only Dr. Claw’s arms and gloved hands; his face remains hidden. This presentation was inspired partly by James Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Inspector Gadget is officially the hero, but his niece Penny and the dog Brain usually do the real detective work that defeats Claw’s schemes.

Different adaptations add variations. The 2015 animated series gives him the full name Irving Thelonious Claw, Jr., while the live-action film uses the name Sanford Scolex. Those versions do not change the canonical answer for the original cartoon: Dr. Claw.
