The TV cartoon featuring Master Shake, Frylock, and Meatwad is Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The Adult Swim series follows three anthropomorphic fast-food roommates: Master Shake, a selfish milkshake; Frylock, a floating box of fries; and Meatwad, a shapeshifting ball of meat. The characters first appeared in development through the Cartoon Network series Space Ghost Coast to Coast, including the concept associated with the episode “Baffler Meal.” Aqua Teen Hunger Force premiered as a pilot in 2000 and became part of Adult Swim’s regular lineup in 2001. Its deliberately absurd plots and improvised-feeling dialogue became hallmarks of the show.

A common mix-up is assuming the title describes a conventional crime-fighting team. Early episodes jokingly presented the trio as crime solvers, but that premise was soon abandoned. Several later seasons also used alternate titles, including Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1 and Aqua Something You Know Whatever. The series ultimately ran for 12 seasons and 144 episodes.
