Rob Law pitched the Trunki ride-on children’s suitcase on the BBC programme Dragons' Den.
Trunki was designed as luggage that children could sit on and ride while travelling through airports or stations. Law developed the concept to make journeys easier for families, combining storage with a child-friendly ride-on form. The product became one of the best-known British design businesses associated with the programme.
The televised pitch did not result in an investment deal. Trunki nevertheless achieved commercial success after the appearance, and its distinctive shape and practical use helped it stand out in the crowded luggage market.
Trunki is often confused with Tangle Teezer because both are frequently mentioned in lists of products that succeeded after appearing on Dragons' Den. Tangle Teezer is a hairbrush created by Shaun Pulfrey; Trunki is the children’s travel product created by Law.
