Mentor is the title given to the leader of the Hidden Ones in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
The Hidden Ones are formed by Bayek and Aya after the events of the game’s main revenge story. Their organization establishes principles, methods, and symbols that later develop into the Assassin Brotherhood seen in other periods of the series.
A Mentor serves as the organization’s leading figure. In Origins, Aya takes the title of Mentor while operating in Rome, helping shape the Hidden Ones into a wider network. Bayek remains crucial to the group’s foundation, but the title identifies the formal leader rather than every important founder.
The term can be confused with later Assassin ranks and Templar titles. “Grand Master” is commonly associated with the Templar Order, while “Mentor” belongs to the leadership structure of the Hidden Ones and, in this historical lineage, the Assassins.
