Ricky Gervais’s winning stand-up comedy performance at the 2026 Golden Globes was titled Mortality.
Gervais won the stand-up comedy performance category for Mortality at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards. The category recognizes a recorded comedy performance rather than a film, television series, or traditional acting role.
Mortality was part of Gervais’s stand-up work, following earlier specials such as Humanity, SuperNature, and Armageddon. His comedy is known for observational material and often provocative commentary about society, fame, and human behavior.
The 2026 ceremony included awards across film, television, podcasts, and stand-up comedy. Gervais’s win therefore belonged to a dedicated performance category, not to the television or motion-picture acting fields.
