Frye is the surname shared by the twin protagonists of Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
Jacob Frye and Evie Frye are Assassin siblings who operate in London during the Industrial Revolution. Jacob is generally associated with direct action and gang warfare, while Evie focuses more on stealth, investigation, and finding an Isu-related artifact. Players can switch between them during much of the campaign.
Syndicate was released in 2015 and is set in 1868. The twins oppose the Templar influence of Crawford Starrick while working with historical figures including Charles Dickens, Karl Marx, and Alexander Graham Bell. Their activities involve liberating districts and building the Rooks gang.
The Fryes are not part of the Kenway family, despite both families appearing in games set in Britain or the wider Atlantic world. Arno Dorian is the protagonist of Unity, the previous main entry, while the Auditore family belongs mainly to the Renaissance-era storyline. The shared surname identifies Jacob and Evie together.
