What submerged Kanto city appears in Pokémon Pokopia’s Bubbly Basin expansion?

The story behind the answer

Cerulean City appears as a submerged location in Pokémon Pokopia’s Bubbly Basin expansion.

Bubbly Basin is an underwater area introduced through the game’s expansion pass. It presents Cerulean City as sunken beneath the ocean because of rising sea levels, giving a familiar Kanto location a dramatically altered setting.

Ditto accesses the area using the Dive ability. The expansion includes aquatic-themed Pokémon and furniture, while one of its major projects is building a large underwater sea temple at Popplio’s request.

Cerulean City is often remembered from the original Pokémon games as the home of the Cerulean Gym and the route toward the Rock Tunnel. Pokopia does not simply reproduce that city in its classic form; Bubbly Basin reimagines it as a submerged ruin within the game’s post-apocalyptic world.
