What species is D’Vorah in the Mortal Kombat games?

D’Vorah is a Kytinn in the Mortal Kombat games.

The Kytinn are an insectoid species from the realm of Outworld. D’Vorah’s body and abilities reflect that origin: she can produce swarms of insects, use insect-like appendages, and attack with techniques connected to her unusual biology.

D’Vorah first appeared in Mortal Kombat X, where she served Kotal Kahn and became involved in the political and military struggles of Outworld. Her species gives the character a distinct identity among the franchise’s many humanoid fighters.

Kytinn is often confused with other Mortal Kombat species. Tarkatans, such as Baraka, are known for their extendable arm blades; Shokan, such as Goro, have four arms; and Edenians are a separate realm-associated people. D’Vorah’s species is specifically Kytinn.
