Rob Law pitched the children's ride-on suitcase Trunki on the BBC show Dragon's Den.
Trunki is a lightweight children's suitcase designed so that a child can sit on it and ride while travelling through airports or other transport hubs. Law developed the concept through his company Magmatic, and the product became one of the best-known British inventions associated with the programme.
The pitch is remembered because the dragons did not agree to invest, despite the product later becoming commercially successful. That outcome illustrates an important feature of Dragon's Den: appearing on the show is not proof that a business received an offer.
Trunki is sometimes mistaken for an ordinary wheeled suitcase or for a different children's travel product. Its distinctive feature is the ride-on design, with the case functioning as both luggage and a child-sized seat during travel.
