Inventor Rob Law pitched the children's ride-on suitcase Trunki on Dragon's Den in 2006.
Trunki was designed as luggage that children could sit on and ride through airports, turning a normally tedious journey into a more engaging experience. Law sought investment on the programme, but the Dragons did not make a deal. The product nevertheless went on to become a successful international travel brand.
The appearance is frequently remembered because it demonstrates that a television rejection does not necessarily prevent commercial success. Trunki is also sometimes described simply as a children's suitcase, but its defining feature is its ride-on design.
Law developed the idea after working on earlier children's luggage concepts. Trunki later won design recognition and became associated with British product innovation for families.
