After leaving Kamino, Obi-Wan Kenobi follows Jango and Boba Fett to Geonosis. During his investigation into the attempted assassination of Padmé Amidala, Obi-Wan discovers that Jango Fett is the genetic template for the Republic’s clone army.
When Jango escapes Kamino aboard the ship Slave I, Obi-Wan attaches a homing beacon to it. He then tracks the vessel through hyperspace to Geonosis, a planet where Separatist leaders are gathering under Count Dooku.
On Geonosis, Obi-Wan secretly observes a droid army being assembled and sends a message to the Jedi Council. He is captured before he can escape, setting up the arena battle and the opening of the Clone Wars. Kashyyyk is the Wookiee homeworld, Mustafar is associated with Anakin Skywalker’s later duel, and “Alderan” is a misspelling of Alderaan; none is the destination in this scene.
