The Pikachu character called Peakychu appears in Pokémon Pokopia.
Peakychu is one of Pokopia’s distinctive special Pokémon characters. The name is a playful variation on Pikachu, the famous Electric-type Pokémon, and identifies this individual as a character within the game’s rebuilt world rather than simply a generic wild Pokémon.
According to the game’s story, Peakychu has lost the ability to generate electricity. That problem fits Pokopia’s broader theme: Pokémon in the abandoned landscape often have unusual circumstances, damaged habitats, or personal challenges that the player can help address.
Peakychu is not the same character as Pikachu from the core Pokémon games or anime. The similar name is intentional, but the spelling and character role are different. This makes the nickname a useful detail for distinguishing Pokopia’s original cast from the franchise’s standard species names.
