The unusual Pikachu character in Pokémon Pokopia is named Peakychu.
Peakychu is one of the special Pokémon Ditto encounters while restoring habitats. Although the character is a Pikachu, Peakychu has lost the ability to generate electricity, giving this version of the familiar species a distinctive story.
The name is easy to mix up with Pikachu, the standard species name, or Pichu, Pikachu’s pre-evolution. Peakychu is a character name used within Pokopia, not a separate species in the main Pokémon classification.
This character illustrates how Pokopia gives individual Pokémon unusual circumstances and roles. The game’s inhabitants are not simply battle encounters; many have personal traits or problems connected to the restored world.
