Pokémon Pokopia calls the Pikachu who lost its electrical ability Peakychu.
Peakychu is one of the special Pokémon encountered as Ditto restores the world’s habitats. The character is based on Pikachu but has lost the ability to generate electricity, giving it a story detail that separates it from an ordinary Pikachu.
Pokopia includes several specially presented Pokémon with distinctive names or circumstances. Other examples include Mosslax, a Snorlax covered with moss and plants, and DJ Rotom, a Rotom possessing a stereo system.
Peakychu can be confused with Pikachu’s unevolved form, Pichu, but the names refer to different concepts. Peakychu is the particular Pikachu character in Pokopia’s story, not a separate species in the standard Pokémon classification.
