What name does Assassin's Creed Valhalla use for its central Viking protagonist?

The story behind the answer

Eivor is the central Viking protagonist of Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Eivor Varinsdottir or Varinsson leads a Norse clan from Norway to England during the ninth century. The player can choose Eivor's presented gender, but the character's name and role remain Eivor. The story follows settlement, alliances, raids, and encounters with the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients.

Valhalla's English setting includes several kingdoms and regions during the Viking expansion. Eivor's Raven Clan establishes a settlement in England, while historical figures such as Alfred the Great appear in the campaign.

Sigurd is Eivor's adoptive brother and an important character, not the protagonist. Ragnar and Ivarr are associated with the Viking Age and the game's world, but neither is the player character.
