The move Dive lets players explore underwater areas in Pokémon Pokopia’s Bubbly Basin.
Bubbly Basin is the setting introduced in Part 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass. The aquatic area becomes accessible through Dive, which was added in a free software update connected with the expansion’s underwater exploration.
The move’s role is exploration rather than a conventional battle action. Players use it to travel below the waves and visit the underwater town associated with Bubbly Basin.
Dive can be confused with Surf or Waterfall because all three are familiar water-related Pokémon moves. In Pokémon Pokopia, however, the specifically named ability for going underwater is Dive. Bubbly Basin was released as the first of three planned Expansion Pass parts in August 2026.
