Dive lets Ditto explore underwater in Pokémon Pokopia’s first DLC.
The move was introduced with a free update released alongside the first paid Expansion Pass content. Using Dive, players can travel beneath the waves and reach Bubbly Basin, an underwater town added in Part 1 of the expansion.
This use of Dive is different from the move’s role in several main-series Pokémon games, where it is commonly associated with diving into submerged routes or locating underwater areas. In Pokopia, the ability supports exploration and town development within a slower-paced sandbox setting.
Water-related moves can make the answer seem less certain. Surf is strongly associated with traveling across water, while Water Gun is used in Pokopia for practical tasks such as hydrating plants. However, the move specifically tied to underwater exploration and Bubbly Basin is Dive.
