Forever Young was McDonald's restaurant design concept introduced in 2006 to modernize the chain's visual style.
The concept was developed as McDonald's updated restaurants around the world. It moved away from a strongly uniform red-and-yellow interior toward a more varied environment using contemporary materials, different seating areas, updated lighting, and stronger visual separation between dining zones.
The name referred to the idea of keeping the brand relevant while preserving its core identity. Restaurants using the concept could look less alike than earlier locations, because local conditions and building formats influenced the final appearance.
Forever Young was a restaurant-design program rather than a replacement for the Golden Arches logo. McDonald's continued to use its established arches and other core brand assets while changing the physical customer environment.
