The Arch Deluxe was the McDonald’s burger launched in 1996 as a premium menu item.
McDonald’s marketed the Arch Deluxe toward adults rather than presenting it mainly as a children’s or value-focused product. Its advertising emphasized a more sophisticated flavor profile, including a signature sauce and ingredients intended to distinguish it from the standard hamburger lineup.
The launch became one of McDonald’s most extensive and expensive product campaigns. Despite the substantial promotional effort, the burger did not achieve the sales success the company expected and was eventually discontinued in most markets.
The Arch Deluxe is often confused with the Big N’ Tasty, another McDonald’s burger introduced during the 1990s. The two products belonged to different launches and had different branding campaigns.
