What masked foe in Mega Man 3 is later revealed to be Proto Man?

In Mega Man 3, the masked foe Break Man is later revealed to be Proto Man.

Break Man repeatedly confronts Mega Man during the mission to recover Gamma’s stolen power crystals. He resembles Mega Man in ability and equipment, but his identity is kept mysterious while he appears to be either a rival or an enemy.
