What makes Will unsuitable to court Elizabeth in "The Curse of the Black Pearl"?

Will is unsuitable to court Elizabeth because of his social position. In The Curse of the Black Pearl, Will Turner is a blacksmith’s apprentice, while Elizabeth Swann is the daughter of Governor Weatherby Swann and belongs to the colonial upper class.
