Bubbly Basin is the underwater town introduced in Part 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass.
Bubbly Basin is the setting of the first expansion-pass installment, which was released on August 5, 2026. It adds a new town to explore, along with additional Pokémon and furniture for the player’s world.
Access to the underwater area is tied to the new move Dive, which became available through a free update. This separates the paid expansion’s new location from the broader gameplay update that adds the ability needed to explore beneath the waves.
The Expansion Pass is planned as three parts. Part 2 is scheduled for winter 2026 and adds accessories, Pokémon, and furniture without introducing a new town. Part 3 is planned for 2027 and will add another town.
