Bubbly Basin is the underwater town added in Pokémon Pokopia’s first paid DLC.

Bubbly Basin is Part 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass. It opened on August 5, 2026, and expanded the game with an underwater location, additional Pokémon, furniture, and related exploration activities.

Access to the area is connected to the Dive move. Dive was introduced through a free software update, so players did not need to buy the paid expansion simply to obtain that ability. The move lets Ditto travel below the waves and explore underwater spaces, including the new town.

The Expansion Pass is planned as three parts. Part 2 is scheduled for late 2026 and adds accessories, more Pokémon, and new furniture without introducing a new town. Part 3 is planned for 2027 and is set to add another town. Bubbly Basin is therefore both a location and the name of the first expansion segment.
