What is the title of the song performed by Christina Aguilera for Disney’s 2020 film Mulan?

Christina Aguilera performed “Loyal Brave True” for Disney’s 2020 film Mulan.

The song was released as a single connected with the live-action adaptation and appears in the film’s end credits. Its title echoes the qualities emphasized by the story: loyalty to family, bravery in battle, and the idea of proving oneself worthy.

Aguilera also recorded a new version of “Reflection,” the signature song associated with the 1998 animated film. That connection can cause confusion, because “Reflection” remains the best-known song from the original movie, while “Loyal Brave True” was the newly commissioned song for the live-action version.

The 2020 film itself removed the animated movie’s musical structure and did not include characters singing through the story in the same way. Instead, “Loyal Brave True” functions primarily as a contemporary promotional and end-credit song. Its release helped maintain a musical link between the two adaptations without reproducing the original film’s full song sequence.
